A live audiovisual duo blending intense electronic sound with generative visual systems. Vigroux’s raw, physical electronics meet Schmitt’s algorithmic visual art to probe tension, rhythm, and control. Together they build immersive, high-impact works where sound and image act as a single evolving structure.
VIDEOPOLIS emerges from a world overwhelmed with images corrupted by hostile forces.Toxic algorithms distort truth, blur perception, and pit viewpoints against each other until they cancel out. These images flood our visual and cognitive fields to better manipulate and pacify the masses. VIDEOPOLIS poses a fundamental question: how can it be countered?

These performances are presented by VOLTA [live electronics], a DIY/independent Boorloo/Perth music event series established by Hearts of Darkness Inc in 2018 that platforms live audio and visual performances through the mastery of electronic instruments and devices.

We pay respects to the traditional custodians of the land we gather, perform, and share electronic music on: the Whadjuk people of the Noongar nation. Sovereignty was never ceded. We acknowledge and value their central role in the vitality of this region across millennia - past, present, and future.

Tickets. If you are attending a ticketed event, please have your tickets ready to scan on entry.

The Rechabite is a licensed venue and you may be asked for a valid ID at the entrance.
