Not Drowning Waving

Following sold out shows in Melbourne and Sydney, avant-garde pop-rock pioneers Not Drowning Waving are now embarking on a national tour.

The band got back together last year for shows to celebrate 50 years of PNG independence, and this tour sees the David Bridie fronted outfit again re-unite with PNG legend Sir George Telek plus an impressive lineup of talent from the Pacific to perform songs from their landmark album “Tabaran” as well as from their latest release “Malira”.

Lauded as “an early masterpiece of world music and a true work of artistic collaboration” (Mark Mordue), “Tabaran” continues to inspire audiences globally.

“Malira” released in September 2026, has received widespread critical acclaim and immediately sold out its initial pressings, and made an unexpected appearance on the charts.

The show will see the 8 piece band perform and make extensive use of video projections.
