Presented by Rhythm Section, Rhythm Sessions brings a carefully curated Sunday afternoon lineup to Brunswick Ballroom, showcasing some of Australia's most exciting contemporary roots acts.

Headlined by FOOLS, a 12-piece powerhouse known for their electrifying blend of soul, blues and Americana, this is a band built for the stage. Their shows move between intimacy and full-throttle energy, driven by dual drummers, horns, and a rotating cast of standout vocalists.

The programme features Grieg’s Piano Concerto, performed by local pianist Justin Bird, a work of sweeping lyricism. Also featuring Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8, brimming with colour, warmth, and joyful energy, and Aurora, a vivid new work by our guest conductor Wayne Gao, this programme promises delight and inspire.

Planet of the Breaks: A New Dawn Rises
In a world where rhythm was lost, Planet of the Breaks arrives as a signal from the underground — a crash-landing into the party of all parties.

   Plump DJs return to celebrate 25 years of their groundbreaking debut album "A Plump Night Out". 

A record that helped define the global breakbeat movement and reshape late-90s electronic music. Released on the legendary Finger Lickin' Records, the album became a benchmark for groove-driven, bass-heavy production and cemented the Plumps as pioneers of the UK breakbeat sound.

INXS helped shape the musical landscape of the 80's and 90's. 

Their infectious blend of dance/rock saw them conquer the music charts not only in Australia, but worldwide. They built a reputation for staging electric and engaging concerts, fronted by their wildly charismatic and talented frontman, Michael Hutchence.

Guitarist & producer Shane O'mara, and singer Jac Tonks, announce their tribute to the songs of Bert Jansch 'Sorrow Hides The Longing To Be Free'. Out March 6th on Vinyl/CD via Cheersquad Record & Tapes.

The brilliant Bert Jansch pioneered a "folk baroque" style that blended traditional British folk with elements of blues and jazz. His innovative fingerstyle guitar technique was one that redefined the instrument's role in the 1960s British folk revival.
