Mother’s Day is back at the Ballroom.

I’ve been presenting a mother’s day show on the JVG Radio Method on RRR for years. It’s my favourite show of the year. Back to back mothers singing songs about motherhood. The joys, the trials, the ecstasy and the mundanity. We have kids running around the studios. Big kids and little kids. Supporting partners and expanded families. It’s an afternoon of motherly energy and talent that happens only once a year. 

Sydney-based songwriter Jackson Carroll has been steadily at work since 2019, exploring love, fear, anxiety, joy, and the countless wonders of the everyday through his music. Melbourne bogan-funk favourites Playlunch are set to bring their nostalgia-packed, good-time-guaranteed live shows across the east coast on a mammoth 29 date run in late 2025 and into 2026. Kicking off with an already sold out show in Belgrave, the Sex Ed Regional Tour will hit headline and festival stages across VIC, TAS, QLD, NSW, WA, and ACT from December  through to May.
